Red Wine

STERLING VINEYARDS MERLOT

Available: Lunch & Dinner
Region: Napa Valley, California
Tasting Notes: Brilliant ruby red color in the glass with black cherry, fresh plum, and sweet vanilla spice pronounced on the nose. The expressive aromas lead to a juicy, velvety mouthfeel where the core fruit flavors of wild berries and red fruit are underpinned by silky, milk chocolate notes. The wine is captivating with true varietal character shining through and supported by soft yet present tannins.
More Info: Sterling Vineyards was founded in 1964 by Oxford graduate and successful businessman Peter Newton. As one of only 27 bonded wineries in Napa Valley at the time, Sterling Vineyards was an early pioneer of crafting Bordeaux-inspired red wines in California and helped transform the region into the premier winemaking appellation we know today. In 1969 Sterling Vineyards bottled the first vintage-dated Merlot in California. This was also the winery’s first vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.
